By the grace of a dynamic personality, Leone’s son, Bruno extended his vision outside Italy to London, Paris, Geneva and throughout Europe bringing heightened recognition for his creations. Since the late 1960’s until the 90’s VAID has been able to supply some of the best European jewelry stores such as: Boucheron, Van Cleef & Arpels, Fred,Chaumet, Mappin & Webb in Paris; Graff, Asprey and David Morris in London; Boucherer in Switzerland; Bvlgari and Faraone in Italy to name the better known.
With the Bvlgari organization VAID has had and has yet a business relationship that continues since 1965. It has involved the make of special orders,one of a kind items, for movie stars to the simple gold objects of everyday use. Stone mosaic bracelets to steel and gold sets are other examples of this collaboration.
VAID would produce merchandise exclusively for a number of these fine retailers and they all would buy VAID’s own production of which they liked so much the design and make. They accepted the way it is and it would also fill some gaps in prices in their inventory. The merchandise was sold to the public under the jeweler’s name. In addition to this accomplishments, Tiffany & Co, Americas’s world renowed jeweler and brand name, has been VAID’s steady client for the past twenty years. For them VAID produces exclusive objects only, like handmade platinum necklaces and bracelets that they use as base for their own designs or 18kt gold bangles/necklaces/bracelets that Tiffany puts in the showcases as they are. Tiffany uses large quantities of these products. Lately, Neiman Marcus, USA prime department store, has been added to the customer list. They will feature VAID’s name and collections in three of their stores.
